Contrec 515 Gas Density Converter (DG01)

The Contrec 515 DG01 Gas Density Converter works with Sarasota-type density meters, such as the Industrial Density Meter FD910, along with temperature and pressure transmitters, and an optional Customer Defined Function input for a custom look-up table.

It calculates line density straight from the density meter’s output, using the precise average pulse period from the meter, and corrects this with temperature and pressure to reference standard conditions. From this it also works out specific gravity and other density-related figures.

It accepts most density meter pulse output types, millivolt signal, reed switch, Namur proximity switch, or pulse train, selectable from the front panel. For gas properties, it lets you pick the equation of state that fits your gas, Ideal Gas, Redlich-Kwong, Soave-Redlich-Kwong, or Peng-Robinson, for accurate results on the vapour phase.

Before we quote this, we would normally check your density meter model and pulse output type, your gas composition, and your line pressure and temperature.

Hope this helps.
