The Contrec 214Di.1 is the panel mount version of the 214Di ATEX/IECEx intrinsically safe Batch Controller. We recommend this over the standard wall mount enclosure when the customer already has a control panel or cabinet near the batching skid and wants the display and keypad flush on the panel door instead of a separate field-mounted box.
Everything else about the controller stays the same as the standard 214Di: it takes a pulse or frequency signal from any digital output flowmeter, drives two solid state relay outputs for single or two-stage valve control, and carries ATEX and IECEx certification for use in a hazardous area. The panel cut-out and bracket are what change, not the electronics or the certification.
Before we quote the panel mount version, we would normally ask for the panel door thickness and confirm the cut-out dimensions match what the customer’s fabricator has already cut, since a mismatch at this stage is the most common hold-up we see. We would also check the zone classification of the installation and the flowmeter’s own hazardous area certificate, same as with the standard version. Hope this helps.
