We had an enquiry from a customer who wanted a panel meter for a distribution board – reading voltage or current directly, with a relay for overload protection rather than just a passive display. The ADtek CS2-VA covers exactly this, and the same base unit works for machinery inspection, production monitoring, and central monitoring panels too.
This looks simple, but “voltage/current meter” covers a fairly wide range once you factor in DC/AC/TRMS measuring modes, and the CS2-VA reads 0~600V or 0~10A across all three. The 4 relays can each be set independently – Hi/Lo/Hi Hold/Lo Hold/Go/DO, with start delay, hysteresis, or delay-on/delay-off, or run as remote control from a PC/PLC. Get the relay logic matched to what you actually need (overload trip vs. remote monitoring vs. alarm) before ordering.
In actual application, the CS2-VA gives you an analogue output and RS-485 (Modbus RTU) built in, along with 3 external control inputs (Tare, PV Hold, Max/Min Hold, remote monitoring, or latching relay reset), with settable delay times from 0.0 seconds up to 9 minutes 59.9 seconds. A high-voltage input module is available as an option if you’re metering a high-voltage signal directly. CE and RoHS certified.
From our experience, before we quote this, we would normally check whether you’re measuring voltage or current, DC/AC/TRMS, how many relays and what logic you need for each, and whether you need the high-voltage input module. Hope this helps.
