Load Cell
A Load Cell is a type of transducer used to measure force or weight and convert it into an electrical signal that can be transmitted to a control system or other devices. It typically consists of a sensing element, such as a strain gauge, which deforms under the application of a force or weight, and a signal conditioner that amplifies and converts the deformation into a proportional electrical signal, such as 4-20 mA or voltage output. Load Cells can be configured for different force or weight ranges, accuracies, and output signals, and can also include other features such as temperature compensation, overload protection, and communication with other devices or systems. They are commonly used in industries such as manufacturing, aerospace, and healthcare, where accurate and reliable force or weight measurement is critical for ensuring product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
