Setra’s Model 526 features a thicker diaphragm that provides a high-stability, high-precision pressure sensor for heavy-duty and sneak applications.
The Model 526’s CVD strain gauges are designed to prevent early product failure and are immune to thermal shock and pressure cycling. The stability of this technology guarantees annual drift of less than 0.2%.
The Model 526 sensor has 0.25% F.S accuracy (0.15% F.S optional), temperature compensation range of -20oC~80oC (-5oF~180oF), and range from -14.7psi to 6000psi gauge, absolute and compound pressure.
The modular design of the Model 526 allows for almost any millivolt, voltage, and current output under any pressure, and a wide range of pressure and electrical connections, giving customers more choice in OEM use.
Depending on the electrical connection and the Model 526 is made of 316 stainless steel / 17-4PH stainless steel housing, the product can be IP30, IP65, or IP68 certified.
Using a well-proven Wheatstone bridge principle, a sensitive component of silicon and silicon oxide on a stainless steel substrate by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) forms a very sensitive and precise polysilicon strain gauge. The components of the strain gauge are welded together at the atomic level to ensure the strength and completeness of the strain gauge. It goes beyond the early strain gauge pressure sensitive components made of adhesive. A dedicated ASIC circuit completes signal amplification and temperature compensation. This technology provides users with flexible output and pressure range configurations, zero and full-scale tolerances, and product interchangeability.
